Consultation

Psychiatric evaluations are provided to adult patients aged 16 and above for diagnosis, clarification of diagnoses, and obtaining second opinions on diagnosis, treatment, and management. Our offerings encompass reviewing psychopharmacological treatments and providing recommendations for patients resistant to treatment.

Telepsychiatry

If you’re unable to come and see our clinicians in Mascot, we have comprehensive Telepsychiatry consultations which allow you to receive treatment via video conference as suggested by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists - RANZCP, this method of treatment can save time, space, energy and cost.

Treatment Resistance

You may be one of the patients who do not respond to treatments that are effective for 70-80% of the cases. This may be due to problems at the brain receptors (where the drug is supposed to act) or the drug metabolism. When people, for genetic reasons, have too much (rapid metaboliser) or too little (poor metaboliser) liver enzymes that metabolise that specific drug (e.g., antidepressant), we can have a problem – lack of efficacy or unexpected side effects for that dosage, respectively.
